Training Team
JOGMEC has many training programs for both Japanese and overseas technicians in a variety of technological fields from exploration to production.
For foreign technical experts, JOGMEC started
the TRC Overseas Training Program in 1989, in
which JOGMEC invited overseas technologists to
Japan for the purposes of strengthening human
relations with oil and gas producing countries
and further expanding cooperative relations between
Japan and those countries. Four courses(each with
a training period of about three months) in Exploration
Geology, Geophysics, Reservoir Engineering and
Advanced Drilling Management, had been attended
by 1016participants from 39 countries by the end
of September, 2006.

for engineers from foreign oil producing countries
was established in 1996 for the purpose of further
strengthening relationships between these countries
and Japan. The program is sponsored by JOGMEC, is
carried out by Japanese oil companies at their facilities,
universities and related organizations.
